MDI functionality not available with LLI drivers
MDI functionality that is not available to
LLI drivers includes:

graphical driver configuration
-
automatic detection and one-step configuration of detected drivers
-
extended statistics output with
ndstat(ADM)
-
SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) support
-
automatic driver restart
In addition, LLI drivers are not able to take advantage
of new operating system features, such as STREAMS
multithreading and access to PCI device configuration information.
